How to run code in the console and in a script in RStudio

4 steps · Written for Mac. On Windows, use Ctrl for Command and Alt for Option.

  1. Type 2 + 2 in the Console and press Return
  2. Choose File > New File > R Script
  3. Type your code in the script
  4. Put the cursor on a line and press Command-Return to run it
