How to fade a song in and out in GarageBand
- For a fade out, choose Mix > Create Volume Fade Out on Main Output
- Drag the fade points on the Master track to make the fade longer or shorter
- For a fade in, choose Track > Show Master Track
- Press A to show automation and click two points on the Master track's line at the start
- Drag the first point all the way down
- Press Space to listen
