How to fix regions snapping to the grid when moving in GarageBand

4 steps · Written for Mac. On Windows, use Ctrl for Command and Alt for Option.

  1. Choose Edit > Snap to Grid to turn snapping off, or press Command-G
  2. Drag the region to the exact spot
  3. Zoom in with Command-Right Arrow for finer placement
  4. Choose Edit > Snap to Grid again to turn snapping back on
