How to record several takes and choose the best one in GarageBand
- Click the Cycle button, or press C, so a yellow bar appears in the ruler
- Drag the ends of the yellow bar around the part you want to record
- Select the track and press R
- Play the part several times; each pass becomes a take
- Press Space to stop
- Click the number at the top-left of the recorded region and choose the best take
