How to run a chi-square test in SPSS
- Choose Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Crosstabs
- Move one categorical variable into Row(s) and the other into Column(s)
- Click Statistics, tick Chi-square and click Continue
- Click Cells, tick Expected and click Continue
- Click OK
- Read the Pearson Chi-Square row in the Chi-Square Tests table
