How to run a Mann-Whitney test in SPSS
- Choose Analyze > Nonparametric Tests > Legacy Dialogs > 2 Independent Samples
- Move the measured variable into Test Variable List
- Move the group variable into Grouping Variable
- Click Define Groups, type the two group codes and click Continue
- Keep Mann-Whitney U ticked and click OK
- Read Mann-Whitney U and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) in Test Statistics
